“The
Unknown Soldiers”
Rarely passing through
the mind, unknown as it were to the masses who fill church
pews around the world, these hidden workers, missionaries
of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, continue day after day to
lift up His holy Name and hold those who surround them
ever before His throne of grace.
Struggling day to day,
praying and trusting in the unseen God to provide their
every need, these saints do their work with gladness of
heart, as they labor on in the harvest fields of the world.
Alone, they pray with
thanksgiving for every morsel of food, for monthly rent,
for transportation, and clothing for their family. Most
are sustained by what is given by those in the Kingdom
who do have a heart for God’s people – this
is not enough, though we are so grateful for these brothers
and sisters. These unknown soldiers labor on; many unable
to afford even the cost of sending out a newsletter or
of traveling to raise support for their work. Many of these
forgotten brothers and sisters suffer the mental and physical
stress brought on by diseases common to all men. But they,
separated from family and friends, having little or no
health insurance, are forced day and night to their knees
in fervent prayer for a touch from the Master’s hand.
This is where we here
at Gratefully Grafted Ministries, Int’l can step
in and solicit both prayer and finances. Just yesterday,
Cheryl and I were thanking God for the many $5.00, $10.00,
and $25.00 checks that we receive monthly to help meet
these needs. Most of us may think to ourselves, “I
only have a few dollars a month and what is that in light
of the great need?”
I am reminded of
the day that Jesus’ disciples said the same thing
when asked to feed the five thousand. They said; “Master,
there is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two
small fish; but what are they among so many? Then Jesus
said; “Make the people sit down.” Now there
was much grass in that place. So the men sat down, in
number about five thousand. And Jesus took the loaves,
and when He had given thanks He distributed them to the
disciples, and the disciples to those sitting down; likewise
with the fish, as many as they wanted. So when they were
filled, He said, “Gather
up the fragments that remain, so that nothing is lost” (John
6:9-12).
Won’t you
pray and ask God in what way He wants you to help? Friends,
a little gift or a large gift, God will multiply it both
to you and to us, and together we can help meet the needs
of those missionaries throughout Israel. They frantically
need our help and I have promised God that I would not
cease to hold Israel up ever before the Church. I make
no apologies for my constant asking or soliciting for
funds. James said; “Ye
have not because ye ask not…” (James
4:2-3) and I know that we are not asking with wrong motives.
We are together building the Kingdom of God. We are partnering
together and will continue until the Day of the Coming
of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ. I know that you
will stand with us prayerfully, and we are thankful for
that. But will you stand with us financially
on a monthly basis? Remember, no gift is too small. We so appreciate
you and pray for you all daily. Grace and Peace to you
all in the precious name of Jesus.
