Antichrist:Rising in Europe?

Recently I was asked could the EU become the new Roman Empire? On October 29th the leaders of all 25 EuropeanUnion member nations signed a new constitution for all of Europe. The signing took place on Capital Hill in Rome! Capital Hill is one of the famous 7 hills in Rome. In antiquity it was the center of religious life in the Roman Empire. It was the ancient site of important sanctuaries and pagen temples. Today it serves as the center of municipal government in Rome. The EU constitution still has to be ratified by each member state and if approved it is slated to take effect in 2007. This major step is being hailed as a great day for Europe and it’s aspiration of total integration. United Nations secretary Kofi Anan hailed the signing as a “major milestone in EU history“. The event has been called „a seismic shift in EU politics“. It could also be called a seismic shift toward the fulfillment of end time Bible prophesy. The recent developements of the EU looks similar to what the Bible predicts for the end of the age. Although what the Bible predicts in Daniel 7 and Revelations 17 is not yet in place, the basic governmental and economic components are in place for this to take form. All that remains now is for the EU to develope some form of a 10 member ruling body and then for one man to come on the scene in the EU and ascend to power. That could be the Antichrist scenario that would unfold in the final form of the revived Roman Empire and ultimately the whole world. Watch and pray concerning the EU and the developements there. The events we are watching in Europe may be the prelude to the reunited Roman Empire prohesied by Daniel the prophet 2500 years ago! Jesus said to His disciples...“Watch and Pray“!

Locust Plague

In the Bible, locusts were the eighth of 10 plagues that God inflicted on the ancient Egyptians before Pharaoh, their King, let the Israelites go. Millions of locusts swarmed through Israel’s Red Sea resort town of Eilat devouring crops and flowers in the country’s south last week. Locusts ventured across the Negev desert as far north as the Dead Sea where farmers were worried that larger number of insects said to be heading their way might eat through their crops. “You watch as trees that are covered with flowers are devoured. They ate everything even a grassy roundbout which was covered by locusts“. “It’s like the plagues of Egypt“ said one Israeli. Thank God a cold front stopped the plague from spreading and early rains prevented the locusts from breeding and spreeding toward Israel’s more fertile north. The last major invasion of African locusts 45 years ago ravaged crops in the Jewish State. It was the worst Locust plague since the 1950’s.
Before the Flood

The first rain of the winter season fell last week, rousing from its summer slumber the conditioned reflex of concern for the level of Lake Kinneret. The level - which has become part of the Israeli collective consciousness - rose, it turned out, by one centimeter. That is an insignificant fact; even the Water Commission thinks so. Nevertheless, the news item was published on the Internet and discussed extensively on current events programs on the radio. It's a uniquely Israeli thing. Only Israelis are capable of grasping the national buzz that starts up every winter over the level of Lake Kinneret, better known abroad as the Sea of Galilee. The Kinneret fever has a very Jewish survival aspect - the fear that we might die of thirst next summer.Well, that's not going to happen. Moreover, Pinhas Green, the director of the Kinneret Administration, says proudly, "If we have a winter identical or similar to the last one," so much water will collect in Lake Kinneret this winter that the Degania Dam will have to be opened“.Last week, the level of Lake Kinneret stood at 210.80 meters below sea level (the Mediterranean Sea). By comparison, in November 2003 the level was minus 210.99 meters, a difference of 19 centimeters, which is a lot in Kinneret terms. The upper red line is minus 208.80 meters: the lake cannot hold more water than that (the lower red line, by the way, is minus 213 meters).
